Favorita started several years ago with a humble location on Danshui Lu, a place people frequent to feel back home. Driven by the popularity of the first location, they now have two larger venues in Jingan and near Xintiandi.
Both venues have outdoor spaces, perfect for al fresco dining as well as enjoying a cocktail or a bottle of crisp, cool Pinot Grigio while watching the world go by. The focus is on fresh Italian food and some of the best value Italian wines available in Shanghai.
The fresh whole lobster with handmade, in house tagliatelle has become a signature dish, but more modest dishes such as lasagna and spaghetti carbonara are also available.
Many of the wines are imported directly from Italy by the owners, which allows them to offer wines at attractive prices (starting from around RMB188 per bottle).
So, whether you want to enjoy a three course meal with friends, family (it is an Italian place, of course kids are welcome!) or just need to unwind with a cool glass of wine and some charcuterie and cheese, Favorita, with its two convenient locations, is a great choice.
